Baby on Board!!

Whether you’re about to board a long haul flight around the globe or if you’re just hopping from Melbourne to Sydney, travelling with babies and young children can sometimes be challenging. Although you can never predict exactly how the day will go when planes and airports are involved, it’s always handy to plan ahead.

The ISOKI team have done their fair share of travelling with children, so we decided to put a few tips together to help you during your next flight!

• Be ORGANISED! Book your tickets in advance, and check with the airline their policy for babies and children travelling.
• Good TIMING! If possible, book your flight for a time of day that your child usually naps. It’s not the end of the world if they don’t, but it can often make the trip a lot smoother if bub is catching zzz’s!
• Be PREPARED! This means packing your ISOKI bag carefully to ensure you have all of your usual gear plus extra toys and snacks. Make sure you have extra changes of clothes, nappies, and plastic bags for rubbish or soiled clothes too.
• Ask for HELP! If you’re unsure or need help during your flight, don’t be afraid to ask your flight attendants for help. They are usually more than happy to help stow your luggage and retrieve it for you during the flight if you have your hands full, and are always on hand to help you fit your baby into the baby seatbelts if you’re having trouble.
• ENJOY YOURSELF! Don’t be afraid if things don’t go to plan! It’s often the case when travelling, but just remember to be safe and have a fabulous time!
