Buying Teachers Gifts

It’s easy to tell when the school year starts to wind up, the lost property box at school is piled high with forgotten jumpers, your child’s starts to bring home handmade crafts and your child’s teacher begins to look like she has hasn’t slept since term one. It’s an exciting time of year, the weather is warming up and Christmas is approaching...so the question is to gift, or not to gift?

Buying teachers gifts at the end of the school year is a nice way of showing your appreciation for their hard work throughout the school year. However, they are in no way compulsory and they are definitely not meant to break the bank! Even the smallest gifts add up quickly. With multiple kids combined with teachers, teacher’s assistants and other helpers, and it really becomes an issue! There are two major rules we like to stick to when deciding to get your child’s teacher a present this year.

1. What can I get my children's teachers that they will really like?
2. How can I achieve my goal without breaking the bank?

Since the present is not only from yourself, but also your child, make sure they are included, either by choosing the gift themselves, or by handwriting a beautiful card message. If you are trying to save dollars, or if you have lots of gifts to buy, handmade cards with heartfelt messages are a fab and budget friendly idea for end of year teacher’s gifts.

Other great ideas include small plants or seeds that can be taken home and planted, a great book, or some great items that your teacher can use at school for the following year. Our fun printed ISOKI Munch Bags are a great present for teachers who can use them to bring their lunch to school during the next school year.

Whatever you choose, remember, it’s not a competition! A small gesture of sincere appreciation is all it takes to make a memorable end of year gift.
