High Fashion over High Tea First made popular in the 1800's the practice of high tea is creeping classily back into vogue. The historically elegant ritual of enjoying tea in fine china cups alongside delicate savoury and sweet morsels was initially employed to fill the void between lunch and dinner. Nowadays we hardly need an excuse to enjoy the finer things in life and high tea gives us the perfect excuse to dress up and look fabulous for a day outing! A common conundrum for ladies reviving this almost forgotten trend, is what one is supposed to wear to such a fabulous occasion?! Don't dust off your bustle, instead, accessorise a fabulous frock with a few key items. Do not stir your tea! Instead use your tea spoon in sweeping circular motions. Place your tea spoon at the six o'clock position and softly fold the liquid towards the twelve o'clock position two or three times.
